BATTLING THE MEXICAN DRUG CARTEL VIOLENCE INFECTING AMERICA SATURDAY, MAY 16, ON FOX

"America's Most Wanted" Takes Viewers to the Front Lines of Drug Trafficking, and Shows How to Fight Back

Washington, D.C. – John Walsh and America's Most Wanted investigate the dark heart of the war on drugs, taking viewers to the source of the violence that's spilled over our borders and is infecting American cities. Thousands of people have been killed in Mexico, as the drug cartels battle the government and each other for control of a multi-billion dollar illicit business. That battle has brought crime and violence to American cities – and not just those along the border. AMW will take viewers inside the battle, and show them how they can fight back by helping law enforcement take down fugitives involved in the drug trade.

John Walsh travels to Mexico to meet with top military leaders who are battling the cartels, to see what's being done south of the border. Then AMW goes after cartel-related fugitives on the run in America, as Walsh teams up with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Viewers will learn how much of the drug-cartel violence spreading through America doesn't come across the border – it starts here. The special broadcast of AMERICA'S MOST WANTED will air on Saturday, May 16th (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

In 22 seasons, AMW has helped law enforcement capture more than 1,060 dangerous fugitives. The series is produced by STF Productions, Inc. Lance Heflin is Executive Producer and Steve Katz is Co-Executive Producer.
