Firefighter Jillian Moore participated in extinguishing many of the brush fires plaguing Nassau County, Florida in 2008. She began volunteering at the Grey Gables/Nassau Village Fire Department in 2005 and has been serving with the Hilliard Volunteer Fire Department for almost two years. She is also EMT and HAZMAT-certified and acquired both her Department of Forestry and Fire Fighter 1 Certifications in 2006. Firefighter Moore also won the Gray Gables "Firefighter of the Year" award this same year. In addition to being a wife and mother of three girls, she loves volunteering in her community. "Several people in my family have been involved in public service and it's just something that stuck with me. By volunteering in this capacity I am not only able to show my community support, but I am also able to be a good role model for my daughters," said Moore.
