All Star Michael Moore
Michael Moore
Patrol Officer
Cape Coral Police Department
Cape Coral, FL
In May of 2008, a ten year old was harassed by another ten year old peer who created a webpage depicting 22 disturbing ways to kill her classmate. Officer Michael Moore showed up at the victim's home to advise her on how to handle a cyber bully and assure her that he would see to it that she would be safe. After exhausting every possible avenue for help from the school board, Lee County Department of Juvenile Justice and Department of Children and Family Services, the victim's mother was relieved to get help from Officer Moore. According to the victim's mother, Officer Moore "is a fine example of a police officer and should be recognized as such". In 2002, Patrol Officer Michael Moore began working for the City of Cape Coral as a cashier doing billing. He took a course at the Citizens Police Academy to learn about law enforcement. He then took a position as an evidence/forensics clerk with the city of Cape Coral, where he handled evidence of violent crimes, drug busts and murders for two plus years. He became a police officer in July of 2007. This was a goal Officer Moore was proud of accomplishing. He is certified in radar and laser equipment, DUI/ breathalyzer operations, and assault rifle handling. His goal is to become a driver instructor for the force. He wants to teach others evasive maneuvering skills to prevent auto accidents.
