Sergeant Abby Tiger started as a law enforcement officer in 1985 with the Dania Police Department which was absorbed by the Broward Sheriff's Office in 1988.
She has been the Sergeant assigned to the fugitive squad for the last 11 years during which they have made over 15,000 arrests, including arrests of fugitives that have been profiled by America's Most Wanted; in 2003 Sergeant Tiger was part of the team that arrested a man who was drugging and molesting children in Costa Rica and taking pictures of them.
Sergeant Tiger has been received numerous commendations including one from the United States Marshals Service for her participation in Operation Falcon III in
2006, which led to 10,773 fugitive arrests, including 1,659 sex offenders, the highest number captured in a single effort.
She also received a performance commendation for Operation Summer Heat, which resulted in 529 arrests, including 429 for felonies in 2008.
In addition to her extensive specialized tactical and investigative training, Sergeant Tiger has received state and federal training in fugitive apprehension.
