1. ELIGIBILITY: Only legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States (i.e., excluding Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. Territories), who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and not a minor in his/her state of residence as of February 4, 2009 can be selected as an Official Nominee for the 2009 AMW All-Star Contest ("Contest"). Only legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States (i.e., excluding Alaska, Hawaii and the U.S. territories), who are at least 13 years of age can submit nominations and vote. Employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives (and each of their immediate family members and each person living in their same household) of United/Sprint Management Co. ("Presenting Sponsor"), NASCAR, Inc., Fox Broadcasting Company, FOX Entertainment Group, News America, Inc., STF Productions, Inc., Twentieth Television, Inc., and/ or each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers or entities involved in the promotion or advertising of the Contest or "America’s Most Wanted" television program are not eligible to enter. Contest void where prohibited by law, rule or regulation and outside of the 48 contiguous States.
2. ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To be considered to be a nominee the submitted person must: 1) meet the eligibility requirements set out above; 2) be a first responder (i.e., law enforcement, fire or rescue personnel or EMT) who is employed by, or volunteers with, a federal, state or local first responder agency; 3) have taken the actions for which the individual is being submitted between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008; 4) be able to attend the NASCAR SPRINT Cup Series™ All-Star Challenge ("Challenge") on or about May 24, 2009 in Charlotte, North Carolina*; 5) must not have won a contest or sweepstakes that was sponsored by Sponsor anytime after November 4, 2008; 6) must, upon Sponsor’s election, appear in one or more segments of the Program, when and as requested by Sponsor, without compensation; and 7) must provide to the Contest Administrator a phone number that can receive calls from an unlisted/blocked phone number. In addition, the submission must be received by Sponsor during the Nomination Period (defined below).* EXCEPTION: If the individual is serving in the armed forces overseas, a family member can attend the Challenge in lieu of that individual.
3. HOW TO NOMINATE: Go to www.amw.com/allstar. Complete and submit the nomination form on-line. Only fully completed nomination forms for eligible individuals will be considered by Sponsor and the Contest Administrator. Nomination forms received by any other method of transmission will not be considered. All nomination forms must be received by the Contest Administrator between 12:00 pm (EST) on February 4, 2009 and 11:59pm (EDT) on April 4, 2009 ("Nomination Period"). All submissions must be the original creation of the person making the submission, may not have been published or produced previously or produced for any other purpose and must not infringe any third-party rights. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry which Sponsor believes may be untrue, defamatory, abusive, pornographic, violent, discriminatory, obscene, profane, offensive, harassing or that may infringe or violate another party’s rights.
4. SELECTION OF NOMINEES: Only individuals who are nominated in accordance with the Official Rules and execute and return within the time set forth therein an Official Affidavit of Eligibility/Compliance & Release of Publicity/Liability as well as all other documentation that may be required by Sponsor (collectively, "Nominee Documents") will be designated on AMW.com/allstar as Official Nominees.
5. HOW TO VOTE:
Methods of voting
There are two (2) methods of voting:
1.) Text Messaging Voting Method:
If you have a text messaging capable cell phone from Sprint or Nextel you may vote for the All-Star Winner by sending a text message to 4AMW with the short code corresponding to your designated Official Nominee located at www.amw.com/allstar.
By sending a vote, all text message entrants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Official Rules of the Contest located online at www.amw.com/allstar.
You will then receive a "thank you" text message, confirming your vote.
Standard text messaging charges will apply to both the vote text you send and the confirmation message you will receive.
You may stop receiving text messages at any time by responding "end", "stop" or "quit" to the "thank you" text message or to any of the messages.
2.) No Purchase Necessary, Online Voting Method:
To vote, visit www.amw.com/allstar.
To vote for the Weekly Finalist or the All-Star Winner (as applicable), you must enter your true and correct information in all required fields.
Electronic votes will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time the vote is cast. Text entries for All-Star Winner will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the phone number from which the text is sent. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online or phone service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses, the domain associated with the submitted email address, or phone number. Votes generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Votes that are incomplete, illegible or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. Any attempt by a person to use multiple email accounts or phone numbers to vote more than once per day during the voting periods may result in disqualification at the discretion of the judges or Sponsor. By participating in the Contest participant recognizes and agrees that the registration information provided by participant will be made available to the Contest Administrator and Sponsor; use of such information will be governed by Sponsor’s and the Contest Administrator’s privacy policy.
Voting Periods:
During each of eight (8) weekly voting periods (see table below), visitors to www.amw.com/allstar will be able to cast one vote, each day of that voting period for the Official Nominee that they believe exemplifies the All-Star qualities.
The Official Nominee who receives the most votes during that weekly voting period will be designated as the Weekly Finalist for that week, receive the Weekly Finalist Prize described below and become eligible to be the 2009 All-Star Winner. The Weekly Finalist will be identified on AMW.com/allstar and/or "America’s Most Wanted" ("Program") and/or other media (as determined by Sponsor and the Contest Administrator in their sole discretion) no later than 11:59 p.m. on the Saturday immediately following the close of that weekly voting period.
The remaining Official Nominees for each week will continue to be eligible to receive votes during the next weekly voting period.
All votes received by each such remaining Official Nominee will be discarded and will not be included in the vote count for that nominee in the subsequent weekly voting periods.

All-Star Winner: Limit One vote per person, per day of each weekly voting period, per method of entry. Subsequent votes from the same person, e-mail address or cell phone number are invalid and will not be included in the vote count. During the All-Star voting period, visitors to www.amw.com/allstar will be able to cast one vote, each day of that voting period for one of the eight (8) Weekly Finalists that they believe exemplifies the All-Star qualities. The Weekly Finalist who receives the most votes during the All-Star voting period will be designated as the 2009 AMW All-Star Winner, subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein. The All-Star voting period starts at 12:00am (EDT) on April 16, 2009 and ends at 11:59pm (EDT) on May 4th, 2009.
Prizes:6. GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of Sponsor, the Contest Administrator and any independent judges whose decisions are final and binding in all respects. All submission materials become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Submission or participation as a nominee constitutes irrevocable assignment to Sponsor and the Contest Administrator of any and all rights to the submitted materials and Program appearance, if any, (collectively, "Materials"), including, but not limited to, copyright and all other intellectual property rights, except where prohibited by law. Submission further grants to the Sponsor, the Contract Administrator and their respective designees the right to publish, produce, use, adapt, edit and/or modify the submitted materials (including, but not limited to, the audio and video portions of the Materials, if any, as well as the name, likeness, bio and hometown and state of each participant) in any way and in any and all media, in perpetuity, globally without notice, prior review or additional compensation. Without limitation to the foregoing, Sponsor and the Contest Administrator will have the right, but not the obligation, to broadcast, podcast, publish or post on-line all or any portion of the submission, as part of or in connection with the Program and/or the Contest or in connection with any promotion or market research or any sponsor or advertiser of the Program, without notice, prior review or additional compensation. By participating in this Contest, all participants agree to discharge, hold harmless and release Sponsor, Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox Entertainment Group, News America, Inc., NASCAR, Inc., STF Productions, Inc., Twentieth Television, Inc., Sprint and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates, as well as the retailers and entities involved in the promotion or advertising of the Contest or the Program, and each of their respective directors, officers, shareholders, employees, agents from any and all liability from injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this Contest or acceptance or use of any prize. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend this Contest should any cause beyond Sponsor’s control, corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the Contest. Sponsor may prohibit anyone from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that such person is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, deception, or other unfair practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other participants or representatives of Sponsor or the Contest Administrator.
7. ODDS OF WINNING/WINNERS LIST: The odds of winning depend on the quantity, quality and nature of entries received. To obtain a list of winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope after May 24, 2009 and before June 30, 2009 to America’s Most Wanted, AMW All-Star Award, P.O. Box Crime TV, Washington, D.C. 20016.
