Convicted Killer Wanted For Rape

Cops in Louisiana are trying to track down convicted killer, Tommy James. James was convicted of negligent homicide in the early nineties for stabbing and killing his friend during an argument. After serving his time, officials say James was let out a free man. But soon, cops say James would harbor an even darker secret.

In April of 2005, a thirteen year old girl told police that James had continuously raped and molested her for the previous two years. Within days, cops had a warrant for James' arrest. But before cops could throw him behind bars, he took off in his his employer's 2004 white Toyota truck.

James Ditches Truck, Still Running

Shortly after James took off, cops found the stolen truck abandoned in Saline, LA. Cops say James is probably still hiding out in Louisiana, but may have fled to Tennessee or Texas.

Cops say James has made numerous statements that he will not go back to prison and believe he will not be arrested without a fight.

Convicted Killer Wanted for Rape Is Behind Bars

Cops in Louisiana have been on the hunt for this dangerous man, Tommy James. After serving time in prison for murdering his friend during an argument, cops say James began raping and molesting a thirteen year old girl. Cops say the abuse occurred over two years. But when the young girl told police what was going on, James went on the run. Cops say James has made numerous statements that he would not go back to prison and believe he would not be arrested without a fight.

After James was featured during the 15 Seconds of Shame  on America's Most Wanted, several tips came into the hotline. But cops say one tip led them straight to James. An AMW tipster told police that the convicted killer would be traveling from Joplin, Missouri to Nashville, Tennessee on August 7th. The tipster knew he would be traveling by bus. Local authorities in Joplin got right on the case. They learned James would be leaving Joplin at around 8pm. Police knew they were dealing with a dangerous man, so they knew they would have to catch him off guard. James arrived at the bus station, and police say before the convicted killer could get on the bus, they had him in cuffs.

Tommy James is now in jail in Joplin, Missouri awaiting an extradition hearing.
