Kevin Adderly is wanted for shooting his friend, Curtis Jordan, to death on Nov. 28, 2008.
Cops are on the hunt for a man they say will not go down quietly.
Kevin Adderly is wanted by Philadelphia police in connection with the shooting death of Curtis Jordan on Nov. 28, 2008.
According to investigators, Adderly and Curtis Jordan were friends talking and hanging out near the corner of Wingohocken and 16th Streets when the men became embroiled in a heated argument. Instead of reconciling, cops say Adderly pulled a gun and shot his friend to death as witnesses looked on.
Investigators say Adderly has been on the run ever since.
Cops say Adderly grew up in the Nicetown neighborhood of Philadelphia, but police tell us he was anything but nice.
Despite being raised by a tight-knit and well-respected family, Adderly spent a large portion of his life shuttling in and out of the judicial system.
In fact, cops say Adderly had been recently paroled from prison for an armed carjacking when he violated his parole by walking away from the halfway house to which he was assigned.
But things would go from bad to worse. After taking off from the half-way house, cops say Adderly met up with Curtis Jordan -- a fateful meeting that would end in Curtis' death.
Cops say, like many recently-released prisoners, Adderly was not ready to change his life. Instead of embracing the help he was offered, Adderly ran from the facility back to the streets and elements that had landed him in jail.
Cops say Adderly embraced the Muslim religion while in prison, but say not even faith could change the man who had been consumed by street life.
Cops say Adderly has a lengthy criminal past, and has repeatedly displayed his disregard for the safety and welfare of others.
Authorities say Adderly has made threatening statements to law enforcement officials and others saying he has no intention of going back to prison. They say that is why they are even more anxious to get him off the streets.
Adderly is described as a black male, standing 5'9" tall and weighing approximately 200 lbs. Police say Adderly has a mark on his forehead caused by repeatedly placing his head on the floor to pray.
Cops say Adderly wears a beard, which reflects his religious beliefs. He also wears a Kufi, a hat traditionally worn by Muslim men.
Police say Adderly may be selling drugs while on the run in order to support himself, and could be seeking out the company of individuals he may have met in prison.
Police consider Adderly armed and extremely dangerous.

Philadelphia cops tell AMW that alleged killer, Kevin Adderly, was captured in the early morning hours of Dec. 30, 2008.
Working on information gathered during the course of their investigation, cops say they tracked Adderly to a house in the Nicetown area of Philadelphia.
Police tell AMW that from the outside the house appeared to be abandoned. But cops say they weren't detered by its appearance. Instead, Philidelphia officers and US Marshals descended on the house.
Officers banged on the front door and yelled police -- when no one appeared they used their universal key -- a battering ram -- and entered the house.
Officers flooded the building -- a tight stream of bullet-proof vests going right, left and straight through a debris and trash strewn lower level. More officers moved down a staircase disappearing into the basement while others rose up the staircase to the second level where officers found a front room occupied by the suspect.
There cops tell AMW, they found Kevin Adderly in pajamas and slippers getting ready to slip into a cozy bed in a room that appeared to have been made especially for him. Cops say the house appeared to be in a state of renovation, but the room Adderly was found in had a television, a bed and heaters.
Cops say the windows were covered with plastic to obscure view from the outside.
And cops say despite his threats against police and his promise not to go down without a fight, cops say Adderly was taken into custody without incident.
Police say no weapon was recovered from the scene.
Still wearing his pajamas and slippers, Adderly was escorted into a Philadelphia police station looking more like Hugh Hefner than the devoutly religious figure seen in a published mug shot. Police say Adderly reportedly shaved off all of his facial hair while on the run.
Adderly is accused of gunning down Curtis Jordan on Nov. 28, 2008 and faces first-degree murder charges.
