Police in Pittsburgh, Penn., say Ken Konias is behind bars. They have been searching for him since they say he shot and killed his Garda Security co-worker, Michael Haines, on February 28, 2012. They also say he took off with two-point-three million dollars from the armored vehicle they were driving.
Kenneth Konias, the armored car guard who police say killed his partner in Pittsburgh and stole $2.3 million dollars, was arrested in Pompano Beach, Fla. Investigators recovered more than $1 million dollars of the stolen cash and are hopeful to recover more.
Police say he made his way to Florida shortly after the murder. He began hanging around clubs in the area and befriended some club goers and eventually asked to move in. It is unknown whether his roommates knew Konias' true identity but police did receive a tip where he was living.
When they arrested Konias, he did not deny who he was. Police also report he has been very cooperative since his arrest.
