This week, America's Most Wanted's Avery Mann caught up with host John Walsh on the set to talk about the notorious Mongol outlaw biker gang.
"The mystique and the glamour of the Hell's Angels, the Mongols, and some of these outlaw biker gangs, it's just fiction," says John. "A lot of them deal in drugs, teenage prostitution, they commit murders. Gangs like the Mongols give motorcyclists a bad name."
AMW was able to work closely with ATF, as they granted correspondent Tom Morris special access into their dangerous operation.
"I got to meet these ATF guys who risk their lives to go undercover with the Mongols," John said.
As John says, an interesting thing about the Mongols segment is that the last time they were on the show, the record was set for the most AMW captures: eight arrests were made after they were featured on America's Most Wanted.
"My hat's off to our viewers. They all saddled up, they made the calls. Some of the Mongols turned themselves in."
Two of those bad guys are still out there, and we're hoping that this time we can bring them in.
