Back in the studio, the AMW crew shares a few light moments on the set between takes. After spending weeks on the road, it's good to be back in a familiar setting.
But shifting focus back to the show, one of the big cases we look at this week is an update to the Raphael Campbell story.
Campbell had appeared on AMW a few weeks back, after his alleged involvement in the murder of CJ Davis, along with 3 accomplices who were ultimately caught. Campbell remained the only one at large for some time, but he's since been brought to justice.
John Walsh was able to meet with CJ Davis' mother in Oakland, Calif. And as John states, "she now belongs to the same horrible club that I do, she's the mother of a murdered son, just like I'm the father of a murdered son."
The family has been thrust into a terrible situation, and have been trying to handle it with dignity and integrity. And as John points out, a difficult journey still lies ahead, however, as the family deals with the prosecution of those accused of murdering their son. But justice will prevail.
And that's what we try to do, as John states, "not just get closure for a family, but to get justice." Continuing, "thank God Campbell was caught. Because he was the last one of the four. So now they are all behind bars. It was a hugely emotional day for me, and it was very important to this family to have their son not die in vain."
