AMW was just out in Los Angeles shooting this week’s show, and during some down time, AMW's Avery Mann and John Walsh took a moment to chat about what they were up to.
The Television Critics Association met recently, and for the 23rd year, John was a guest at the event.
"Each year, TV critics come out to LA and talk about old and new shows," says John. "It's a way for critics to meet the stars up close." And as John points out, our loyal viewers have kept AMW on top.
"If a TV show gets to run 100 episodes, that's kind of a huge milestone. We're coming up on our 1000th episode," he said. “Based on our recent captures, like Paul Merhige, there's a lot of buzz about the show, its effectiveness and how important it is to society."
And it is important. John also spent some time this week with Joseph and Patricia Drake, a couple who survived of a violent hit-and-run. Jesus De La Herran, a guy who's been arrested six times prior for DUI, allegedly drunkenly plowed his Corvette into this unwitting couple's car.
The crash was horrific, causing both Patricia and Joseph to each lose limbs. And adding major insult to injuries, De La Herran got out of his own mangled Corvette, and sauntered off to a party. As John points out, this is a case of "another selfish, cold blooded creep who should never have been out on the street."
Cops believe that De La Herran may have run off to Mexico, and we're hoping that our loyal viewers will be able to give AMW that crucial tip to put this creep behind bars, as you've done more than 1,000 times before.
