FBI - Man Shoots Girlfriend In Front Of Kid

It was Christmas time in Los Angeles.  Ivette Ruiz and her three year old daughter had put up a Christmas tree and were looking forward to the holiday.

Saul Aguilar did not share Ivette's excitement for the holidays.  Agents with the FBI say Aguilar was seething with rage because Ivette had spurned his love interests.

On December 12, agents say Aguilar's anger reached its apex.  They say he went to her house with a sawed off shotgun and tried to get in the front door.  He allegedly pounded violently and yelled, but 19 year-old Ivette, and others in the house, refused to open the door. Agents say Aguilar walked around the house to an unscreened window and opened it. After trying to climb through the window, Aguilar allegedly shot Ivette Ruiz in the back as she played by the Christmas tree with her three-year-old daughter.

Saul Aguilar has not been seen since.
