This photo was taken September 18, 2002 when Coutinho was arrested by the Hartford Police Department.
Fifty dollars doesn't seem like a lot of money to shoot someone over, but cops say that's exactly what Moises Coutinho did.
Barely five feet tall and small in stature, Coutinho, 23, allegedly shot a man and fled with his girlfriend down south.
According to police, Coutinho's girlfriend Kassila Bispo De Lima was owed $50 by Elizeu Miranda for a cleaning job she did.
Hard pressed for the money, Bispo De Lima, 21, demanded Elizeu pay up right away. On October 2, 2007, police say a meeting was arranged for the money to be collected outside Bon Brasil, a local Brazilian restaurant.
Coutinho caught wind of the meeting and allegedly showed up with a gun.
Initially, Bispo De Lima and Elizau talked outside the restaurant, but Moises -- watching from across the street -- may have felt Elizeu was hitting on his girlfriend and crossed the street to confront Elizeu.
Cops say Coutinho began threatening Elizeu and forced a gun into his mouth. Elizeu wrestled the .45 caliber handgun from from Coutinho, but was shot twice in the process.
Once in the cheek and once in the left shoulder. Elizeu survived but Coutinho is still at large with the gun.
Cops believe Coutinho is hiding in Florida or Louisiana. Hartford police are also looking for his girlfriend Bispo De Lima because they believe she is an illegal immigrant. The couple have been known to travel together.
Police in New London, Conn. have captured Moises Coutinho after a former boss saw Coutinho featured on AMW.com.
Since October, Hartford Police and ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) were searching for Coutinho, who they believe shot Elizeu Miranda.
Police say informants had tipped off authorities that Coutinho was hiding out in Popono Beach, Fla., where he was working odd jobs. Police believe that Coutinho was trying to save up enough money to flee to Brazil, but an employer found out that Coutinho was a wanted fugitive, and advised him to leave town.
On the run again, Coutinho ended up in New London, Conn., about an hour drive from Hartford.
Again, Coutinho tried to work odd jobs, but after he was featured on AMW.com, it became harder to keep a low profile. A former employer recognized Coutinho from AMW.com and sent in tips to New London Police, who were able to do surveillance on Coutinho and move in for an arrest.
Cops say they also recovered the .40 caliber pistol they believe was used in the shooting. Coutinho has been charged with attempted murder and robbery, and his bail is set at $750,000.
As an added bonus, cops also picked up Coutinho's girlfriend, Kassila Bispo De Lima, who they believe is here illegally from Brazil.
