Jarell Griffin is wanted for shooting a young man in the head after a failed attempted robbery. The victim, Keyon Sharp, died instantly.
Keyon Sharp, a young businessman living his own American dream, had recently started his own subcontracting company specializing in rehabilitating public housing apartments on Chicago's South Side.
In late September 2008, after a hard day's work, Keyon arrived at his girlfriend's mother's house to pick up his 10-month-old son.
He placed the boy in the passenger side of his company van before climbing behind the driver's seat. Father and son were mere moments away from heading home to enjoy the evening together.
But cops say Jarell Griffin, a 22-year-old local gangbanger, had other plans for the pair. According to police, Griffin snuck up behind Keyon in an attempt to rob him. After a brief struggle, detectives say Griffin overpowered Keyon and shot him once in the left temple, killing him instantly.
By the time cops arrived, Griffin was gone -- but eyewitnesses were able to place him at the scene.
In April 2009, a Cook County Circuit Court judge issued an arrest warrant for him, after charging him with one count of felony Murder in the First Degree.
The Chicago Police Department and the FBI immediately scoured the Windy City for Griffin, but were unable to track him down.
Now, they need your help to bring him to justice.
Cops say alleged Mickey Cobras gang member Jarell Griffin shot and killed a man during a failed robbery attempt on September 30, 2008.
Up until September 30, 2008, cops say Griffin never really got into trouble. He'd only been arrested on a handful of occasions for misdemeanor violations, but had never been convicted.
Now, he's in the biggest trouble of his life, and cops hope to find him before he can hurt anybody else.
Detectives tell us Griffin drinks alcohol and smokes marijuana, and he has loose affiliations with the Chicago-based Mickey Cobras street gang, also known as the MCs.
He has family throughout the United States in Louisiana, Arkansas, California, Texas, Illinois and Mississippi, but federal agents now think Griffin could literally be anywhere.
If you know where Jarell Griffin is hiding, you've got to help take him down and get him off the streets by calling our hotline right away at 1-800-CRIME-TV.

Jarell Griffin had been on the run for nearly a year when the powers that be decided it was time for him to face justice.
On August 23, 2009, the FBI field office in Oakland, Calif. received an anonymous tip telling them where Griffin was hiding out.
Less than 48 hours later, officers on the Safe Streets East Bay Task Force set up a stakeout near the house. Within a few hours, Griffin took a stroll down the block, giving officers a good long look at his face, and the ability to make a positive identification.
Thirty minutes later, an FBI SWAT team stormed the house and took Griffin, who was going by the name "Tony", into custody without incident. However, at the time of his arrest, cops say there was a shotgun in the house, as well as a few hundred pot plants.
Needless to say, Griffin is in some hot water and should be looking forward to spending decades, if not life, behind bars for his countless alleged crimes -- which include the heinous September 2008 murder of Keyon Sharp on Chicago's South side.
