Cops: Suspect Abused Victim For Over Eight Years

Cops think Joseph Gossett could be using the online handles "WOLFFIE" or "HPESEOJ."

“What a crap shoot of a fake warrant,” typed alleged child molester Joseph Gossett in an e-mail taunting investigators, according authorities working on the investigation.

Cops say he closed the email signing, “HPESEOJ” – his first name spelled backwards.

This email received on March 13, 2008 is the last authorities have heard from the accused sex offender who they say could be anywhere.

Gossett is accused of sexually assaulting a young boy repeatedly over a period of eight years; police say the victim was just 6 years old when the abuse began.

Cops say Gossett is a whiz with computers and is able to mask his Internet Protocol (IP) address - a virtual fingerprint -  leaving no trace of his whereabouts.

After the victim got the courage to speak up, Gossett skipped town and cops haven’t seen him since 2007.

Police say this accused pedophile can’t stay off the computer – and evidently has an obsession with exploiting innocent children. 

After Gossett fled, cops say there were allegations of child porn on Gossett's computer that was sent to the lab for analysis.

Cops also think Gossett may be using the handle, “WOLFFIE,” for gaming, blogs, and other online activities.

Investigators say the tech-savvy creep might be doing IT work or possibly working in telemarketing.

Authorities say he also has a long rap sheet with crimes ranging from burglary to carrying a concealed weapon.

Gossett stands at 6’3” and weighs approximately 145 lbs.  He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Cops think Gossett's most unusual trait are the numerous moles scattered on his face and neck.

Police think he could be in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, or even Mexico.  Now they need the public’s help in tracking down this coward who has brazenly taunted them from behind a computer screen.

From Cancun To The Can

The Weld County, Colo. Sheriff's Office says Joseph Gossett molested a young boy over a period of eight years, then skipped town after sexual assault charges were filed against him.

Now, almost two years later, Gossett has gone from lounging around a poolside bar to sitting behind bars awaiting trial.

Thanks to a tipster’s observant eyes, authorities tracked Gossett to Cancun, Mexico where he was said to be managing a local hostel.

"Our partnerships with the U.S. Marshals Service and America's Most Wanted have paid off several times over the years," remarked Weld County Sheriff John Cooke.  "This should be a warning to those with outstanding warrants: surrender to the courts or law enforcement, as we will never stop looking for you."

Authorities picked him up on October 1, 2009, making him Direct Capture #1090 for America’s Most Wanted.
