The search for 40-year-old Matthew Caulk, a Sex Offender with warrants out of Montana and Colorado, is finally in custody. Cops started looking for him when they found out that he took off with 16-year-old Amber Westbrook of Lakewood, Co., on Sept. 25, 2007.

On March 19, 2007, cops in Montana issued an arrest warrant for Matthew Caulk. They say the 40-year-old man failed to register as a Sex Offender in that state.
But the urgency to find Caulk rose when 16-year-old Amber Westbrook from Lakewood, Colo. went missing. Cops say the girl was last seen with Caulk on September 25, 2007 and hasn't contacted her parents since then.
Cops say Caulk met Amber at the apartment complex where Amber lived and where Caulk was living and working some odd jobs. Now, US Marshals and an Adam Walsh Task Force in Colorado, are concerned that the girl may be with Caulk, an unregistered sex offender, and they want to find her right away.
After searching for 40-year-old Matthew Caulk for about a week and half, cops in Jefferson County finally have him in custody. <P>
An anonymous tip led investigators to an address in Morrison, Colo. At the house, they also found 16-year-old Amber Westbrook, a missing girl out of Lakewood, Colo. The couple had been spotted having dinner in that city on Sep. 26, 2007, so cops knew they were on the right direction.<P>
Cops believe Amber Westbrook was not aware that Caulk was a Sex Offender wanted in Montana for failure to register. The Lakewood Police Department also issued a warrant for Caulk for failing to register in that city.
