James Woodrow Duncan is accused of sexually assaulting his stepdaughter over a period of years in White Pigeon, Mich.
For almost two full years, a sexual predator molested his teenage stepdaughter in southwest Michigan, authorities have said, and when she found the courage to report the despicable crimes, he vanished.
Now, cops with the Michigan State Police need your help to track down the man who they say is responsible: James Woodrow Duncan.
This isn't Duncan's first brush with the law, and it's not even his first Criminal Sexual Conduct charge in the state of Michigan. On December 6, 1991, Duncan pled guilty to a 3rd Degree CSC and spent years behind bars.
He's been a registered sex offender since November 1995, and for just over a decade, cops say he managed to steer clear of trouble.
But that all changed when, according to police reports, Duncan began forcing his teenage step-daughter to have sex with him in their home during a two-year period from mid-2006 through July 2008.
On July 18, 2008, the young victim's grandmother accompanied her to a local Michigan State Police post where she reported the heinous sexual assaults she says she repeatedly endured.
Shortly thereafter, cops made contact with her step-father, who said he would come in for an interview -- but that interview never took place.
Days later, Duncan called back and told police he'd changed his mind. He claimed to have to go out of town, but he promised to be back by July 27, 2008.
Instead, when Duncan finally did call the cops back, he was singing a new tune: he told them that he'd found himself an attorney -- and then he hit the road.
Duncan's arms are fully 'sleeved' with tattoos. He is said to have a strong interest in body art, and has more tattoos all over his body.
James Duncan loves tattoos, and has covered himself in them. According to police, Duncan has tattoos all over his body, including his stomach, chest and arms, both of which are fully "sleeved."
Over the years, Duncan has received a number of unique tattoos, including a monkey inked on his belly button, a large red and green parrot on his right forearm, a mouse making an obscene gesture on his right bicep, an eagle on his left bicep, a lion's head on his back, and a wolf's head on his upper left arm.
Cops believe Duncan may be staying with family in Jasper, Texas. If he's not there, he may be hiding out in Kuttawa, Ky. or in West Virginia.
He is also believed to be driving his older model, white Chevy S-10 pickup truck, which may have a red stripe running down each side.
Detectives say Duncan smokes and he loves alcohol.
He's known to drink beer, blackberry-flavored brandy, or whatever potent potable that might be placed in front of him.
He may be trying to find a job as a day laborer, and he has a strong interest in tattoos and body art.
Investigators need your help to get this vile man off the streets and away from children. If convicted, Duncan faces up to life in prison, due to his status as a repeat offender.

After nearly a year on the run, a man with a history of dangerous sex crimes is back behind bars. On June 20, 2009, an AMW tipster gave cops the break they needed to take James Duncan off the streets.
Though Duncan has been a registered sex offender since 1995, he fled from Michigan following new charges that he sexually molested his teenaged stepdaughter.
He tried to take cover in Texas, but a brave tipster blew Duncan's cover after recognizing his mug on the AMW segment "Fifteen Seconds of Shame."
Police traced the tip to Jasper, Texas where Duncan was living. Duncan is now awaiting extradition to Michigan.
