A mentally challenged man and Special Olympics gold medalist who gave his heart and soul to his Miami community was shot and killed. Miami-Dade homicide detectives are baffled and have no idea who would kill innocent 36-year-old Danny Perez while he was biking. Cops need your help in finding Danny's cold-hearted killer.

Friends and family say he loved his bike, using it as transportation and for competing in athletic competitions such as the Special Olympics in Miami.

In 2008, he was the Inspirational Athlete of the Year at the Special Olympics. Staff at Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School, the school he graduated from and later worked at as an assistant coach, say Danny represented hope and inspiration to all.
