Nearly six months after cops say Christopher Smith shot and killed Jason Ford in a botched robbery attempt, they're thrilled to announce his arrest -- thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, Calif.
After we aired his face on our October 29, 2011 episode, tips poured in from all over the country -- and many placed Smith in California.
Authorities aggressively pursued each lead, and over the course of the next ten days, they felt they were moving closer and closer to an arrest.
Finally, their work paid off as the L.A. County Sheriff's Office, L.A.P.D., and the U.S. Marshals Service descended upon a home in Los Angeles and took Smith into custody without incident.
