The father of a missing 3-year-old boy was arrested and charged, three days after his son disappeared from his Houston apartment. Roderick Terrell Fountain is being held on federal gun possession charges. Police say he is considered a suspect in the boy's disappearance.

Authorities in Houston, Texas have issued an AMBER alert for 3-year-old Kendrick Jackson who was last seen on April 7, 2006. According to officials, Kendrick's father reported the child vanished Friday morning while he was doing his laundry. Authorities say Kendrick's father told police he went upstairs to put a load of clothes in the dryer and when he returned downstairs, Kendrick was gone and the door was ajar.
Kendrick and his mother evacuated New Orleans last August during Hurricane Katrina. The family moved to Houston shortly thereafter. Kendrick's father is remarried and authorities say she had just left for work when Kendrick was reported missing. Police say 3-year-old Kendrick had been visiting his father since April 4, 2006 and just disappeared.
Kendrick is described as three feet tall and weighs about 30 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and pajama bottoms.
