Police in Indiana say a man who threatened his wife and daughter has been killed by authorities after he tried to flee. Two-year-old Andrea Evans was safely recovered and will be reunited with her mother, police say.

Police in Indiana have issued an AMBER alert for 2-year-old Andrea Evans who was last seen the morning of April 26, 2006. According to officials, Andrea was abducted by her father, 45-year-old Thomas J. Evans.
Police say Thomas Evans had been fighting with Andrea's mother for three days. At points, authorities say Thomas Evans tied up Andrea's mother and threatened her life. In the early morning hours of April 26, 2006, cops say Thomas Evans took off with Andrea. Before he fled, police say he threatened to harm the child if the police were notified.
Andrea is described as a white female, 3 feet tall and 35 pounds, with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a yellow dress and strawberry shortcake shoes.
Thomas Evans is described as a 45-year-old male white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a teal shirt with a stripe, blue jeans and black shoes. Evans, walks with a limp, is balding and has a mustache.
Police say the pair may be traveling in a brown 1991 Toyota Corolla with Indiana license plate 36C5736.

Police say Thomas Evans was killed by authorities in Indiana after he tried to flee from officials. When authorities approached Evans, police say he crahsed into a police cruiser. Cops say Evans was shot when he pulled a gun on the officers at the scene. Andrea will be reunited with her mother, police say.
