Police in North Charleston, South Carolina report that they have found Zuleyma Gonzales unharmed and have arrested the man they say abducted her.
Hoke County Sheriff's deputies report that officials in South Carolina found 13 year-old Zuleyma in North Charleston. She was still with a family friend, Samuel Ramos. She was unharmed and has been returned to her family.
Ramos, who allegedly took the girl from her school in Hoke County on Wednesday and then called her father asking for money, is now in custody, charged with kidnapping. It was feared that Ramos meant to use the money to take Zuyleyma to his native Mexico. He now sits in a jail cell awaiting his fate. It is possible he will face multiple other charges, both in North and South Carolina.
