Jami Found Safe In Oklahoma City
Last night on Sept. 15, 2004 - police say James Hudachek called his wife in Mesquite, Texas and told her she had three hours to come and get Jami.
He was in Oklahoma City.
According to cops Hudachek said if the deadline was not met he would kill himself in front of the girl; he further threatened to kill Jami if police were called.
Difficult Ending
Jami's mom didn't have any choice but to call police. The Mesquite Police Department then contacted the local authorities.
The Oklahoma City Police Department located Hudachek who was staying under his own name at the Quality Inn.
As officers approached the room they heard a gunshot.
A few minutes later Jami emerged from the room unharmed.
Inside the room Hudachek was found with an apparently
self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was airlifted to a local hospital where police say he is in critical condition.
Jami was taken into custody by Child Protective Services.
