Police Seek Key West Mystery Mom Who Abandoned Newborn
It was a tragic morning in Key West when a hotel housekeeper found the body of a newborn in a ladies room trash can. Several witnesses saw the mom and her male companions. Police want to talk with them.
A Key West Hilton Resort and Marina housekeeper found the body of a dead baby girl in the ladies' room trash can around 6:30 a.m.
According to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office, the female baby was about 32-35 weeks old (about 5-8 weeks premature) and the child's umbilical cord and placenta were still attached.
The report indicates the baby was born alive.
