Boy Reunited With Mother After A Year


On Thursday, June 9th, 2005 Sean Shrewsbury slept in his own bed for the first time in a year.

The 6-year-old boy was reunited with his mother after allegedly being abducted by his father. Twenty-seven-year-old John Asa Shrewsbury was arrested in Guadalajara, Mexico, by the U.S. Marshals Service.

John Asa Shrewsbury is accused of abducting his son on May 20, 2004.

As it turns out, Sean's paternal grandfather found out Sean and his father were living in Guadalajara, Mexico. He made contact with the Sean's tutor who, later on, called Sean's mother, Kenya Shrewsbury, in Laguna Vista.

The events led to Mexican police slapping the cuffs on John Shrewsbury and locating Sean safely.
