AMBER Alert Cancelled, Girl Found Safe
The Arkansas AMBER Alert for two-year-old Tamara Finch has been cancelled after police say the man suspected of kidnapping the two-year-old released the girl to her family.
Her father and accused abductor was arrested without incident Thursday morning (5-26-05).

Child Recovered, Father Arrested
A man suspected of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and their two-year-old daughter, stabbing the woman, then fleeing with the child has released the girl to her family.
Elliott Harold Finch was arrested without incident Thursday morning (5-26-05) at the home of his mother.
They say two-year-old Tamara Shamal Finch was abducted yesterday along with her mother --Denitra Forrest of Jonesboro -- but was returned to her family early this morning. A relative told police the girl was released at a predetermined site in Jonesboro after a family member negotiated with Finch to return her. The relative says Finch dropped the girl off and then drove away. The next morning his mother phoned police and told them Finch was at her home and ready to surrender.
Detective Vic Brooks went to her home and then took him into custody.
The child is being evaluated by doctors as part of the investigation. -AP
