11-year-old Brennan Hawkins has been recovered alive and well. Hawkins has been missing since Friday, June 17 when he vanished from a Utah campsite.
In a press conference held by Brennan's uncle Bob Hawkins he was joined by the boy's grandparents who expressed their boundless gratitude to all the search volunteers. Hawkins said his nephew was in good condition and has been taken to the hospital to be checked out.
At the time Brennan was found, his father Toby was in the field and his mother Jody was encouraging search volunteers. Brennan's uncle says the boy's parents accompanied him to the hospital.
The sheriff reported that Brennan had seen some of the searchers on horseback but he says the boy was disoriented and afraid to approach them.
The sheriff went on to say that after asking for some water Brennan requested to play a game on the cell phone of one the search volunteers.
More details about the recovery are expected soon.
