Missing Infant Returned Safely


Police in Ohio canceled an AMBER Alert on Friday, November 4, 2005 after 3-month-old Shyla Markley was recovered safely. According to authorities 22-year-old Derek Markley, Shyla's father and the man suspected of taking her, turned himself in Friday afternoon.

Shyla had been missing since Wednesday night. Police issued the AMBER Alert Thursday morning and charged Derek Markley with child abduction. According to cops Derek is considered violent and a known drug user. Police were concerned for Shyla's safety.

Cops were thankful to see the missing girl reunited with her mother.
