Confirmed Fears


The search for a missing 10-year-old girl in Indiana came to a close after authorities determined a body found in a gravel pit belonged to Alejandra Gutierrez.

Alejandra disappeared while walking to a school bus stop on December 8th. Eleven days later, police found a body in a gravel pit in Delaware County, Ind., about 50 miles from Alejandra's home in Fort Wayne. A coroner's report confirmed her identity. Although police have two suspects, 33-year-old Simon Rios, and a 17-year-old boy, they have not been able to charge either of them with the abduction or death of the little girl.

Police say Rios is being held in Allen County Jail on four unrelated murder charges -- those of his wife and three daughters.
