An Indiana man police say held his wife and daughter captive for three days before taking off with the toddler was shot and killed by authorities. Thomas Evans was killed around 6 pm on April 27, 2006 after he was
tracked to a drive-in restaurant just north of Seymour, IN.
Police in Indiana have safely recovered 2-year-old Andrea Evans who was the subject of a nationwide AMBER alert. Police say Thomas Evans was killed by authorities in Indiana after he tried to flee from officials. When authorities approached Evans, police say he crahsed into a police cruiser. Cops say Evans was shot when he pulled a gun on the officers at the scene. Andrea will be reunited with her mother, police say.
