Young Boy Found Dead
A tragic end to an Alabama AMBER Alert: The body of five-year-old Geontae Glass has been found. Geontae's mother claimed the boy had been abducted in the early hours of Dec. 4, 2006, but police say his dead body was found at the home of his mother's boyfriend, Kevin Towles.
Police say Shalinda Glass claimed she left her car running with a sleeping Geontae in the backseat while she and her daughter ran into a store to get some juice.
While she was inside, witnesses report that a man stepped out of the passenger side of a pickup truck, got into the running vehicle and drove away. Witness say the pickup truck also left the premises.
Early the morning of Dec. 5, 2006, cops found Geontae's body at Towles' home.
Police believe the abduction was a cover story in a plot to dispose of Geontae, and have taken both Glass and Towles into custody for questioning.
