Mother And Children Safe


Search and rescue teams hired by the Kim family made a major discovery on December 4, 2006. While combing the rural Oregon countryside, searchers saw Kati Kim waving an umbrella alerting them to the family's whereabouts. Immediately, Kati, Penelope, and Sabine Kim were recovered and airlifted to a hospital in Grants Pass, Oregon. Searchers reported that on December 6, 2006, they found the dead body of James Kim, who died while attempting to seek out help for his stranded family.
