On the night of February 12, 2007, 17-year-old Eric Gordon Murphy walked out of his family's apartment and vanished. The only clue -- his jacket was found by a nearby pond. In Mid-February, a dive team's search proved unsuccessful, as the team searched a lake near the teenager's apartment. Police say that on March 10, 2007, Adbermarle County Police Underwater Recovery Team and a Virginia State Police dive team recovered the high school student's body. The teams utilized sonar equipment to locate the victim. The cause of death is still unknown. No additional details are being disclosed at this time.
