David Edenfield, the first of three to be tried, was convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of Christopher Barrios.
According to authorities in Georgia, George Edenfield -- along with his mother, Peggy, and father, David -- sexually abused Christopher before ultimately suffocating him to death.
Police already had Christopher's neighbor, George Edenfield -- a convicted sex offender -- in custody on parole violations.
Now George and his parents, David and Peggy Edenfield, have been charged with murder, kidnapping with bodily injury, enticing a child for indecent purposes, false imprisonment and child molestation.
They've all also been charged, along with family friend Donald Dale, with concealing the death of a person and tampering with evidence.
A court affidavit shows Peggy Edenfield watched while the men committed these heinous acts.
Court records also show the entire family, along with Donald Dale, conspired to hide Christopher's clothes and body.
David Edenfield was convicted on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009.
On Oct. 6, jurors deliberated for only two hours before unanimously deciding that Edenfield should get a death sentence for his crimes.
He was the first of three people charged in the case to stand trial.
