In early April 2008, 17-year-old Summer Dawn Gish ran away from an Owensboro, Ky. group home, along with another teenager. The girl she ran away with returned to safety shortly after the runaway, but it took nearly six weeks before Summer was found -- alive, and in good spirits -- by the Henderson City Police.

Runaway Runs Home To Mom


Nearly two months after she disappeared, Summer Dawn Gish has been found -- at her mother's residence in Henderson, Kentucky. Cops found her unscathed and in good spirits. The whole Henderson community is thrilled that Summer managed to stay safe and evade harm throughout the entire time she was thought to have been missing.
