Cops say Brittny Lashell Walker, 23, turned herself into police in the early morning hours of July 24, 2008. In tow was her 4-year-old daughter, Decareyonna Bryche Walker-Mays, whom she abducted after telling relatives she was taking the girl out for lunch on July 12, 2008.
Cops say that at 2:30 a.m. on July 24, 2008, a Virginia mother who absconded with her 4-year-old daughter walked into the Prince William County Adult Detention Center with the little girl and turned herself in to police.
Police say Brittny Lashell Walker fled the state with her daughter Decareyonna after telling relatives she was taking the girl out to lunch on July 12, 2008.
The pair had been missing for almost 12 days.
Police have charged Walker with parental abduction. Pending a court date, she will be held without bond.
Authorities say Decareyonna has been placed in the foster care of a family member.
