AMBER Alert: California

Police are searching for a victim of domestic violence who was beaten then kidnapped by her husband. The incident occurred in the 6800 block of Homer Street. Witnesses called the Westminster Police Department to report that Jose Solano Ortiz had just beaten his wife, Jacqueline Martinez. Witnesses described seeing the bleeding and screaming Martinez being dragged by Ortiz to his grey 2005 GMC pickup truck (7V93382.) That vehicle was last seen headed West bound on Homer Street towards Edwards Street. Witnesses said that the couple's young daughters, Celeste and Cassandra, were also in the truck. It was unclear whether the girls had also been victimized by Ortiz. Offiers and investigators are in touch with other family members of Ortiz and hope to gather leads as to the whereabouts of Ortiz, his wife, and their children. Ortiz does have a history of violence dating back several years.
