Three days of frantic searching and candlelight vigils came to a joyful close on Sept. 20, 2010, as 15-year-old Marco Gonzalez returned home safely. But now police are looking for a person of interest in the boy's abduction, and they need your help to find out who he is.
Police in Smyrna say last night at around 9 p.m., Marco Gonzalez drove his family's stolen Mercedes S500 back home.
Investigators are still searching for two unidentified suspects who they suspect carjacked the Gonzalez family, abducting Marco in the process.
Cops describe the first suspect as a dark-skinned Hispanic male standing 5 feet tall and weighing around 100 pounds. Police suspect he is between 18 and 19 years of age and believe he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with black and grey stripes.
Officials say the second suspect is also a dark-skinned Hispanic male. Cops list this suspect as 5 feet tall and weighing 120 pounds. He is about 20 years old with a round face and big cheeks. Officials state the last suspect was wearing a polo shirt with vertical yellow stripes.
Authorities would also like to talk to a person of interest of whom they've released a photo.
Detectives say they are currently following all leads.
