Missing Teen, Alleged Abductor Safely Located in S.F.
After a month-long manhunt, police in Shasta County, Calif., are no longer searching for Charles Berlinghoff, 44, and his niece, 15-year-old Jean Berlinghoff. By chance, Jean Marie's cousin spotted them outside of an electronics store in San Francisco, and called 9-1-1.

- Police say the two could be hitchhiking and panhandling for food along the Interstate 5 corridor.
- Police recovered Berlinghoff's 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass with California plate 2DNX546 off of Sims Road in northern Shasta County on Nov. 26, 2010.

Alleged Abductor, Kidnapping Victim Found in S.F.
Cops say Berlinghoff kidnapped his neice, 15-year-old Jean Marie Berlinghoff, from her home in Redding, Calif. on November 10, 2010.
But while one of her cousins was shopping in downtown San Francisco, cops say she noticed Jean and Charles outside of a Best Buy store in the Mission District.
After calling 9-1-1, officers responded and quickly apprehended Charles Berlinghoff, and placed young Jean Marie into protective custody.
Investigators tell AMW that Charles resembled the mugshot distributed to the media, and has done nothing to change his extremely distinct appearance.
