Police Identify Remains As Taylor's


Detectives investigating 17-year-old Taylor Behl's disappearance from Virginia Commonwealth University found remains in a shallow grave near a farmhouse in Mathews County, Virginia. They positively identified the remains on Thursday, October 5 using dental records.

Though no charges have been filed, police announced in a press conference that the scope of their investigation has narrowed. They went on to say they expect to file charges soon.

Meanwhile, 38-year-old Benjamin Fawley, who was once called a person of interest, remains in custody on 16 child pornography charges and one charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.


Photo Leads Police To Remains


Police said they were led to the area by photographs seized during their investigation.

Taylor's friend also conducted their own search using the internet. That is how they turned up a web page entitled, "Deviant Art," which contains pictures from Fawley. On the web page are photos of a farmhouse that is approximately the same age and architectural style as the building on the property where the remains were found.

According to reports, one picture contains the caption, "I saw this on May 15 with someone special."
