AMW Tip Helps Recover Elizabeth
After AMW aired Lewis Lee's picture, we received a tip that put Lee at a store in Western Maryland. That tip led police in New York to contact Maryland State Police, who began to actively search for the fugitive pastor.
State Police determined that Lee was working as a delivery truck driver in Hagerstown, Md. They also had confirmed that he and Elizabeth had stayed at a hotel in the Hancock area in Western Maryland.
When officers from various law enforcement agencies set up surveillance at Lee's new workplace, they were in for a surprise. Officials expected to find Lee alone, but he had apparently picked Elizabeth up on the way back from his delivery route.
Both Lee and Elizabeth were safely taken into custody on the spot.
