Fugitive Mom Caught While Repaying A Drug Debt
On Sunday, October 9, police say Jennifer Cunnings was arrested trying to repay a drug debt by selling a stolen vehicle--her sister's SUV. Shelley Chancey, Cunnings' sister, claims she received a call from drug dealers who offered to sell back her Ford Escape for just $175. Police say this happened only two weeks after her niece, Natasha Richlefs, was kidnapped by Cunnings and returned home by an acquaintance.

Police Breathe A Sigh Of Relief
Police are happy to announce that on October 5, 2006, Natasha Richlefs was located in Detroit. Authorities say Natasha was discovered by an acquaintance of the suspected kidnapper, Jennifer Cunnngs. They say Cunnings dropped Natasha off at the friend's house and never returned.
Police have turned Natasha over to Protective Services.
Who Will Ultimately Care For This Little Girl?
Court hearings have determined Natasha's aunt, Shelly Cunnings, will most likely regain custody rights of her niece.
Officials arrested Jennifer Cunnings on October 9, 2006. They say she attempted to sell her sister's SUV to drug dealers for a crack cocaine debt.
