After a public tip, US Marshals rescued Heidi Rus from a Las Vegas apartment on Friday. Police were happy to call off their two month search for the seven-year-old that sent them all over the tri-state area looking for her. Heidi was flown back to Washington with her father who greeted her with her favorite stuffed animals. Heidi's father says that his daughter was unharmed during the incident but he is unclear how much of it she understood.

Police arrested Heidi's mother, Michelle Finley, and charged her with first degree custodial interferance. The child's father says he does not want to take Heidi away from his mother completely. But he says in the future he will be more careful when she comes for supervised visits.
