Patti Adkins disappeared shortly after leaving the Honda auto plant where she worked on June 29, 2001. Patti's sister reported her missing nearly 10 days later.
Patricia "Patti" Adkins' young daughter has not seen her mother since she was 7 years old. Patti was last seen leaving her job at the Honda of America plant in Marysville, Ohio on June 29, 2001.
Patti told friends she was planning to go on vacation, but the night she supposedly left was the last time anyone heard from her. Shortly before her disappearance, she left her daughter with relatives but never returned to pick her up.
On July 8, 2001, Patti's sister, Marcia, reported her missing. Ever since, authorities say there has been no activity on any of Patti’s financial accounts and none of her family or friends have heard from her.
Police believe that foul play is involved in Patti’s disappearance for a number of reasons. Not only did she leave a loving daughter and family behind, but before her vacation, she had made appointments at a hair salon for when she returned.
Authorities have every reason to believe she had all intentions of returning to her life, post-vacation. Instead, her daughter is now left motherless, and there is an aching hole in the hearts of her family and friends.
Due to the nature of the disappearance, and the length of time that has passed since Patti has been seen, the courts have declared her to be deceased.
Patti's family has finally come to grips with the fact that she is dead -- now, all they seek are answers as to what exactly happened to her, and they want to see justice brought to whoever is responsible.
Since 2001, there have been several instances where human remains were found in the surrounding areas of Marysville and authorities thought they may have belonged to Patti.
However, after thorough investigations and forensic testing, the tiny spark of hope that the family once saw had been dashed almost as soon as it was ignited.
Patti’s family is now pleading with the public for any information that could lead to the discovery of Patti’s remains or tips that could help put the person responsible behind bars.
Prior to her disappearance, Patti led a fulfilling life as a mother, sister, and friend in Marysville, Ohio. Cops say that she had no reason to willingly leave any of that behind.
Patti was last seen wearing her all-white Honda work uniform. She has a blue and green flower design tattoo on the middle of her lower back. In addition to having both ears pierced, her belly button is pierced, as well.
Closure to Patti’s case would offer her family and friends some much needed solace in this most tragic situation.
