Missing Couple Found Dead
The search for an elderly couple who vanished in Hettinger, North Dakota ended in tragedy when searchers found the bodies of Norman and Yvonne Olson. They'd both been shot to death, in what police believe may be a case of murder-suicide.
The break in the case came on November 3, 2004, when police discovered the Olsons' car in an empty farm equipment storage building. They began searching through the area, and two days later, under an abandoned house a mile and a-half from the building where the car was found, they found the body of Yvonne Olson. She'd been shot twice in the chest.
In the same abandoned farm house, police found the body of Norman Olson. He'd died of a gunshot wound to the head.
