Almost three years after Lindsay Harris went missing, authorities have confirmed that remains found dumped along an Interstate in Illinois are hers, and the hunt is on for her killer.

Ill. Remains Match Lindsay's DNA
Remains found 1,600 miles from Las Vegas in Springfield, Ill., in May 2005 were finally identified as those of Lindsay Harris, three years after she disappeared. Even though the remains were found just three weeks after Lindsay first went missing, a DNA match didn't come through until May 2008. Using Lindsay's toothbrush, the Illinois State Police and the FBI made the match.
Family Relieved; Cause Of Death Unknown
After her remains were identified, Lindsay's family released a statement offering thanks to everyone who worked on the case, as well as relief that after three years, their family will be restored.
Police in Illinois and Nevada are continuing to investigate the case.
