A Tragic End For A Beloved Nurse
On September 13, 2007, police say that the body of 52-year-old psychiatric nurse, Mindy Schloss, was found in a wooded area five miles from the Alaskan town of Wasilla.
Schloss was reported missing on August 6, 2007.
Currently, authorities tell AMW that there is an autopsy underway to determine the cause of death and build a case against her killer.
Cops have said that based on how Schloss' body was discovered they immediately knew that they were dealing with a homicide investigation.
27-year-old Joshua Wade, the man police arrested for allegedly using Schloss' ATM card to withdraw money, remains a person-of-interest in her murder investigation.
However, Wade is still in custody on charges of fraud and identity theft.
Wade was acquitted in 2003 in the killing of Della Brown, but was convicted of tampering with her body and served several years in prison.
