The Search Is Over; Camille's Body Found
Search and rescue crews in Utah have located and recovered the body of missing BYU student Camille Cleverley in the Bridal Veil Falls area of Provo Canyon. Authorities say that Cleverley was found in an extremely steep and dense area just north of the Bridal Veil Falls. Her body was found at the base of a 200 foot cliff.
The terrain was so difficult to search, that it wasn't until after the fourth time searchers swept through the area that she was seen. Search teams from Wasatch County, Utah County, and Provo City searched mountain trails and the Provo River looking for the missing BYU student after a couple came forward saying that they took a bike that may have belonged to the 22-year-old. The bike was turned in by two people who admitted they had snatched it on September 1, 2007, after finding it locked to a rack at Bridal Veil Falls along the Provo River.
Provo police announced that Cleverley's boyfriend, David Sperry, voluntarily submitted to and passed a polygraph test. Authorities say that Cleverley died several days before she was found and that she "succumbed to her injuries", and thus far, they are not ruling out suicide or foul pay. Two bottled juice drinks purchased with Cleverley's debit card the morning she went missing were found along with her body.
