Justin Slater -- the man accused of killing his brother -- is behind bars, but the situation is more grim than ever. Police have identified the female body recovered in a cabin belonging to Slater's parents as Kayleigh Plamondon, Slater's ex-girlfriend.
At approximately 1:15 p.m. on June 13, 2009, in Wartonsville, W.Va., a clerk at a 7-11 recognized a customer as the man wanted for killing his own brother -- Justin Slater. She called police, and said he was driving a small black vehicle.
Police discovered that the vehicle had been reported as stolen from Schuyklin County, Pa. and sent out an alert. A short time later, an officer recognized Slater and pulled him over. Luckily, Slater was arrested without incident.
Earlier, police received information from neighbors in Lost River, W.Va., that Slater had been spotted at his parents' cabin.
When police went to investigate the cabin, they found the body of a female. Medical examiners processed the scene and began working to identify her, and sadly, an autopsy confirmed the body was, in fact, Kayleigh Plamondon.
