On Jan. 26, 2009, 20-year-old Jeff Renaud told his mother he had a meeting set up with school officials to discuss his student loans. Instead, he bought a bus ticket to Toronto, and hadn't been seen since. Cops didn't suspect foul play in his disappearance -- and luckily, they were right. The evening before Jeff's story was to grace the America's Most Wanted homepage, his mother received an extremely relieving phone call.

According to police, Jeff saw our story on August 4, 2009, and said 'enough is enough.' Jeff then went to a Wal-Mart in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he called his mother Collect from a payphone, telling her he's alright, and he's going to return home.
While no one yet knows why Jeff left to begin with, his family, friends, and the authorities searching for him are thrilled to know that he has never been endangered.
Jeff's mother, Christine, was ecstatic to hear from him, and expressed sincere gratitude when we spoke with her on the morning of August 5, Jeff's 21st birthday.
Christine tells us her family is working to arrange transportation for Jeff, and he should be back at home in Windsor within the week.
